Horizon (2018)
Horizon is an instrumental album of all original music written and performed by Matt Vandal and Jeff Curnutt. The 16 tracks were recorded during 2017-2018, and the album was released on September 3, 2018. It is distributed by DistroKid Music across all major digital outlets including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, YouTube, and others.
Horizon is an eclectic fusion of styles that pushes harmonic and rhythmic boundaries, and is performed by just two musicians. The album was recorded with minimal overdubs—what you hear on the album is what you hear live in their performances.
The album and subsequent live performances have been very well received. Some highlights include:
● Rotation on NPR’s KJZZ station in Arizona, August-September 2019
● Featured on nationally syndicated radio program, Coast to Coast AM’s Emerging Artists,
December 2019
● Reached #1 on Jazziz’s Inside Tracks, January 2020
